Genetic Crosses Task Cards

Description

This is a pdf document containing 16 task cards on leaving certificate genetic crosses. All crosses have been taken from past mock paper questions. Crosses included are:

6 sex-linked crosses

6 dihybrid crosses

1 linked cross

1 cross with linkage and sex linkage

1 incomplete dominance cross

1 incomplete dominance dihybrid cross

All crosses are Higher Level

 

Included is a document containing the marking scheme for each questions.

I printed and laminated four class sets and 10 copies of the marking schemes. Students worked in small groups to complete the crosses that they were finding most difficult and then used the marking schemes to self correct.

Students found this activity really good for their understanding.
