Hi, I am the Science Teacher...

Welcome to my website! I am an Irish post primary school teacher, currently teaching junior cycle science, transition year chemistry and leaving certificate biology. I completed a Bachler of Science Degree in Biology and Chemistry and then went on to complete my PME. I am currently completing a Masters of Arts in Teaching and Learning. I am very passionate about active teaching and learning and set up my Instagram account, @the_science_teacher_ in 2021 to share what goes on inside my classroom as I myself have gotten so many great ideas from colleagues and other Instagram accounts. I wanted a space where collaboration could occur and ideas shared. In 2022 I started to deliver CPD workshops with Tralee Education Centre and from there my Instagram community grew. I have taken the leap to set up my own website to share more ideas and activities that happen inside my classroom. Thank you for your continued support, it is always appreciated! Naomi.
